Vestas selected as preferred supplier for 495 MW floating wind in South Korea

Vestas has had a few good days on the order front. On Thursday, the wind turbine manufacturer was able to present an order for 1.3 GW in Brazil, which was the company's largest onshore order ever.

In addition, two orders for onshore turbines with a total output of over 300 MW were also received from the Argentine market today and yesterday.

On Friday, however, Vestas is moving to the sea with a large order for floating offshore wind turbines. An undisclosed customer has placed an order for a floating offshore wind project of 495 MW in South Korea. Vestas announced this in a statement.

Vestas will also deliver 33 of its flagship offshore wind turbine V236-15.0 MW for the project. Who the customer is and which project is in question is not disclosed in the statement.
