The government has not carried out socio-economic calculations of the large offshore wind supply, where support of up to DKK 55 billion has been planned. According to Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard, no socio-economic calculations were made in connection with the spring negotiations on the tender framework for three offshore wind farms or subsequently. This is reported by Børsen.
- No socio-economic calculations were made for the tendering of the three parks in connection with the spring negotiations on the agreement on tender frameworks for three offshore wind farms of 19 May 2025 or subsequently, says Lars Aagaard (M), who is Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities, in a response to Steffen Frølund, energy spokesman for the Liberal Alliance.
The lack of calculations goes against the recommendations of the Economic Councils, which emphasize that socio-economic assessments should be a permanent part of the decision-making basis. The tender has also met with criticism from several Danish developers of renewable energy, including Eurowind and European Energy, who have complained to the EU Commission demanding that the support model be rejected.
