Andel has opened the election for the company's board of representatives, where the cooperative members can elect 38 members until March 23. A total of 60 candidates have registered, but in Sorø Municipality six candidates have been elected without a vote, as there are six seats. This means that 54 candidates are on the ballot in the other areas. Andel states this in a press release.

Around 87,000 cooperative members in Odsherred, Slagelse and Solrød municipalities as well as in Roskilde city have the right to vote. You are automatically a member of the cooperative if you live in a year-round residence, own a summer house or run a business that is connected to the Cerius electricity grid in Region Zealand. According to Andel, there is a greater spread among the candidates this year, and 31 percent of the candidates are women.

- I am pleased that more and more cooperative members are realizing that they can help set the direction of Andel through the board of representatives. And we are seeing increased diversity among the candidates with more young and female candidates, says Bart Gyldenløve Roetink, chairman of the board of directors at Andel.

The board of representatives elects the board of directors, approves the annual report and amendments to the articles of association, and sets goals for the company's development and allocation of profits. Members also participate in dialogue with the board of directors and management and can participate in committees and sparring groups. Cooperative members who are eligible to vote receive information about the election via physical letter and e-Boks. Voting takes place digitally at andel.dk/stem with MitID or a code sent to you.
