Nordex Group has secured a new order in Spain for 80 MW with the possibility of later expansion. An undisclosed customer has ordered 13 wind turbines of the type N175/6.X for an unnamed project. This is stated by Nordex Group in a press release.
The order also includes a service agreement for a period of 20 years. The order also has a built-in option that can raise the total capacity of the project to 120 MW, if exercised. The turbines are to be installed on steel towers with a hub height of 112 meters.
- The project, which uses our latest N175/6.X turbine technology, further strengthens our presence in Spain and contributes to the country's continued expansion of renewable energy capacity, says Francisco Cejudo, Sales Director Spain at Nordex Group.
Installation is expected to start in spring 2027, while commissioning is planned for the end of the year.
