Vestas usually announces a number of orders in the days leading up to a quarter's end, and this pattern is repeating now, with the wind turbine manufacturer announcing two new orders in the US and Germany. This brought the wind turbine manufacturer to five new orders for a total of 384 on the last day of the quarter.
The largest of the two latest orders comes from the US and includes 135 MW in the US for an undisclosed project. Vestas does not disclose the turbine type or any further information about the order.
A little more information can be found in the German order that Vestas has landed. It is an onshore wind order of 62 MW for the Olsberg-Plackweg project for the customer JUWI GmbH. The order in Germany includes 10 V162-6.2 MW turbines and is linked to a 20-year AOM 4000 service agreement.
Delivery for the German project is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027, while commissioning is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2028.
