European Energy has entered into an agreement to divest 50 percent of an onshore wind project in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt to the investment fund QEEE, managed by Quadoro in cooperation with EB-SIM. This was announced by European Energy in a press release.

The project has a total capacity of 32.8 MW and includes six wind turbines from Nordex Group. Construction is expected to start in 2026, while commissioning is planned for the period from November 2026 to February 2027. European Energy will continue to be responsible for the construction and delivery until commissioning and subsequent asset management.

- European Energy continues to experience strong demand from institutional investors for well-structured renewable energy projects in Germany, says Jens-Peter Zink, deputy CEO of European Energy.

The transaction is the second between European Energy and a fund advised by EB-SIM in Germany. The project has already achieved a fixed feed-in tariff under the German EEG scheme in December 2024, and initial construction work has begun.

The sale is part of the company's strategy to develop, build and selectively sell renewable energy projects to long-term investors. European Energy currently operates more than 160 onshore wind farms in Germany and has a majority stake in over 100 of them with a total capacity of over 500 MW. At the same time, the company is in the process of building 118 MW of onshore wind in the country, while the development portfolio amounts to 2.2 GW divided between wind, solar and battery storage.
