Nordex Group has received two new orders with a total capacity of almost 160 MW divided between projects in Germany and Turkey. The orders include both the expansion of an existing wind farm in Schleswig-Holstein and the construction of a new farm in Balıkesir, Turkey.
The orders were received at the end of March, but were only announced by the German wind turbine manufacturer during the Easter holidays.
In Germany, the company has received an order for 39.9 MW from NeXtWind Management, where seven N149/5.X turbines are to be installed on 125-meter-high steel towers as part of an expansion of the Lütau wind farm. When the project is completed in 2027, the total capacity of the farm will reach 68.4 MW.
At the same time, Nordex has secured a larger order in Turkey of 120 MW from a subsidiary of Efor Holding. Here, 18 N175/6.X turbines are to be delivered and installed on 119-meter-high towers with planned commissioning in August 2027. The agreement also includes a 10-year service agreement.
