Storm Dave raged over Easter in Denmark, and especially in North Jutland, the wind was strong. In the Thy area, gusts reached hurricane force, which caused damage in several places.
Although wind turbines are usually happy with wind, the gusts were still too much for an older turbine in Thy. Thus, a turbine in a field at Legindvej between Sønderhå and Hørdum had to succumb to the wind in the morning hours of Easter Sunday.
- Fortunately, it did not fall onto the road, so there is no immediate danger, says Niels Møller, who owns the turbine, to TV Midtvest.
