BeGreen has appointed Peter Obling as its new CEO, effective January 12, 2026. He will lead the company's next development phase as an integrated renewable energy producer.

He replaces Wojciech Cetnarski, who will now focus on his role as CEO of Polish energy producer Wento, which, like BeGreen, is a subsidiary of Equinor. BeGreen said in a press release.

- I would like to express my sincere gratitude for Wojciech Cetnarski's integrity and persistence in strengthening BeGreen's market position. Under his leadership, BeGreen has undergone a strategic transformation, commissioned the first solar park and begun construction of the first battery storage facility. I am excited to welcome Peter Obling to BeGreen. His extensive industry experience and strategic vision will help shape the company's next chapter as an integrated renewable energy producer, says Vivek Mahajan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BeGreen.

Peter Obling has more than 15 years of experience from the Danish and European energy sector. He most recently comes from Ørsted, where until October 2024 he was Senior Vice President and Head of Continental Europe, responsible for the company's renewable energy business in markets such as Denmark, Poland, Germany and Benelux. He now looks forward to a new chapter at BeGreen.

- I am very excited to join the BeGreen team at a time when the company is on a solid foundation, with a strong pipeline and a high-quality organization. Despite the challenges currently facing the onshore renewable energy sector in Denmark, I believe that BeGreen, with Equinor as a strong and strategic owner, is extremely well positioned to create significant value and long-term growth, says Peter Obling.
