The Danish biotech company Novonesis had a turnover of almost 4.2 billion euros last year. This corresponds to around 31 billion kroner. This is 2.4 billion kroner more than the year before, according to the company's annual report, which was released on Wednesday morning.

Novonesis produces, among other things, ingredients for cleaning products and foods such as milk, yoghurt and cheese. The company also produces biofuel.

Overall, Novonesis delivered organic sales growth of seven percent.  CEO of Novonesis, Ester Baiget, is pleased with the progress.

- In 2025, we continued to deliver strong organic sales growth, she says in the report.

The company made a profit of 583 million euros - corresponding to around 4.4 billion kroner. This is almost a doubling compared to the previous year.

- In 2026, we expect another good year with growth across all sales areas and margin expansion, says Ester Baiget.

In connection with the financial statements, Novonesis has presented the company's expectations for the financial year 2026. It states that organic growth of between five and seven percent is expected.

However, the expectations contain some uncertainty about "potentially lower consumer sentiment", the company writes in the financial statements.

Novonesis is the combined company following the merger of Chr. Hansen and Novozymes, which was completed in January 2024. The company is present in more than 45 countries with more than 11,000 employees.
