Earlier Tuesday, Vestas announced that it had landed its largest ever onshore order in the form of 1.3 GW for two projects from Casa dos Ventos in Brazil.
Today's second order from the South American market is not as large, but it is not small either. Vestas will install 162 MW in the La Elbita project in the province of Buenos Aires in Argentina. This is stated by the wind turbine manufacturer in a statement.
The order comes from Argentinian Genneia. The ordered 162 MW will be delivered in the form of 36 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines. In addition, Vestas will service the turbines for a period of 25 years under a service agreement of the type AOM5000.
Milter delivery is planned to begin in the third quarter of 2023, while commissioning is expected in the second quarter of 2024.
