The Funen energy company SEF is facing a change in management after CEO Jens Christian Lundholt resigned after almost two years to pursue a new job opportunity. The board has therefore appointed Deputy Chairman Lars Foged as the new CEO as of February 1, 2026. He has previously been interim CEO until Jens Christian Lundholt's appointment in February 2024. This is reported by Energiwatch.
At the same time, Chairman of the Board Søren Bøving-Andersen has chosen to resign with immediate effect. In a press release, he explains, according to the media, that he cannot guarantee the handling of the process surrounding the appointment of a new CEO. "It is a decision I make with regret, but as chairman of the board I have a responsibility to ensure that important processes are handled in a way that I can fully vouch for," he says.
It is not clear which job opportunity Jens Christian Lundholt will move on to, but according to SEF he will continue as director of a company in another industry with a strong international focus.
