Tommy Rahbek Nielsen, who left his position on Vestas's Group Executive Board just over a year ago, has now set his sights on a new top position in Germany.

He has been appointed head of the wind turbine business in the large industrial group Flender, where he will be in charge of the company's wind division Winergy.

- I will help develop the business and continue globalization. It is about getting the company to grow compared to where it is today. My customers are wind turbine manufacturers all over the world. Among my customers are Vestas and Siemens Gamesa, says Tommy Rahbek Nielsen.

Flender plays a central role in the global wind industry, as they supply gears and generators to several of the world's leading wind turbine manufacturers, among other things.

With the appointment, Tommy Rahbek Nielsen returns to a key role in the wind sector, where he will be in charge of strengthening Flender's position in the market.

Tommy Rahbek Nielsen brings many years of experience in management, supply chains and financial strategy in the wind industry. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Vestas Wind Systems A/S. His time at Vestas was marked by significant achievements, including the development and implementation of global strategies for production and supply chain as well as the successful integration of the offshore business.
