Wind turbine group Vestas has laid off 71 employees in Denmark on Tuesday. The company's information department confirmed this in an email to Ringkøbing-Skjern Dagblad. The department emphasizes that the adjustments are part of an ongoing adaptation of the organization.

"Vestas is continuously assessing and adapting its organization to ensure that we operate optimally, and as a result of this, we have laid off 71 employees across our locations in Denmark," the email reads. It is also emphasized here that Vestas continues to have a strong presence in Denmark with over 7,200 employees - more than 800 more than at the same time last year.

According to Dagbladet's information, 43 of the dismissed employees are located in Ringkøbing/Lem, primarily within administrative functions. However, Vestas does not want to confirm the specific figures or the distribution by location, but points out that the number of employees in Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality is still higher than last year after the layoffs.
