The energy and telecommunications group Norlys has laid off 137 employees and managers in the group's customer business. This is part of the integration of Telia Danmark and in an attempt to create a more efficient and financially sustainable organization.

Norlys states in a press release that the organizational change is to strengthen business processes, clarify roles and responsibilities and improve the customer experience.

Kathrine Forsberg, Director of Norlys' customer business, emphasizes that the decision has not been easy:

- It has major human consequences when we have to say goodbye to talented colleagues, and I know it creates both uncertainty and concern, she says.

Since the takeover of Telia Danmark in 2024, Norlys has worked to merge the two organizations, which has created double functions and opportunities for synergies. Back in August, the group announced that it would fire every tenth employee in the customer company.

According to the group, the layoffs will help create a more efficient organization and secure the necessary resources for future development.
