Ørsted has just entered into a framework agreement with the engineering and consulting group Rambøll, which will in future provide engineering services to the energy company's Danish combined heat and power plants.

This is stated by Rambøll in a press release.

The energy company plays a central role in Denmark's supply of electricity and district heating to a large part of the country's households. The portfolio consists of, among other things, six biomass-fired combined heat and power plants, a gas-fired heating plant and the peak-load electricity plant in Kyndby.

In the coming years, several of these plants will be adapted to the Danish electricity system so that they can utilize excess energy from wind turbines and solar cells, reduce dependence on biomass and fossil fuels and contribute to a more stable district heating supply.

The framework agreement, for which Rambøll has won all three subcontracts, covers, among other things, engineering and machinery, construction and facilities and project management. The agreement has an estimated value of up to DKK 600 million and runs for six years with the possibility of a further two-year extension.-

- Rambøll has had a good and close collaboration with Ørsted for many years, and we are very pleased that we can continue this collaboration in the coming years, says Tina Kramer Kristensen, Rambøll's Energy Director in Denmark.
