Rambøll has acquired the Canadian consulting firm TransGrid Solutions, which specializes in electricity transmission and distribution. The acquisition will strengthen Rambøll's position in the green transition and expand its ability to deliver solutions within power systems globally. Rambøll announced this in a statement.
TransGrid Solutions is based in Winnipeg and consists of 25 experts in high-voltage systems (HVDC). They have participated in almost 70 HVDC projects since their founding in 2002. With the acquisition, they become part of Ramboll's global power systems division.
- This acquisition strengthens our expertise within power systems and positions us as a world-leading consulting engineer within HVDC, which supports our growth ambitions in North America and Europe, says Hannes Reuter, CEO of Ramboll's energy business.
TransGrid Solutions will now contribute to Ramboll's strategy to become a central player in the green energy transition.
