Over 400 employees at the Vestas factory at the Odense Port Industrial Park on Lindø will have a new boss as of May 1 in the form of John Bach.
He replaces Poul Clausen, who since July 2022 has been the boss of the factory, which is facing an expansion that will bring in up to 100 new employees. John Bach has been given a new position internally at Vestas, says Claes Lautrup Cunliffe, PR manager at Vestas, in a response to an email to Fyens Stiftstidende.
The new factory manager is by no means new to Vestas. According to his LinkedIn profile, he has spent a total of almost 14 years in various parts of Vestas over several stints. Most recently, until 2021, he was Regional Head Blades Manufacturing and was responsible for at least two Vestas factories and five partner factories in the area around China and India. According to LinkedIn, he has taken the last six months off from his calendar to have time for his family, after he stepped down as COO of Polytech in November last year.
