Hanstholm Port is committed to a greener future, among other things, the port, which today has fishing as its clear largest revenue source, plans to become Europe's first CO2-neutral fishing port. But the port is also feeling the decline in fishing in recent years. Therefore, in an interview with Børsen, the port's director Søren Zohnesen emphasizes once again that the port will be a factor in green energy.

- Our core business is fishing. What is our DNA has been under tremendous pressure for the past three to four years. Especially in connection with Brexit and due to fewer fishing quotas. Combined with the fact that we have completed this port expansion, it means that we have to look into new business areas, he says.

Hanstholm Port will, among other things, be a hub for power-to-x. Therefore, a number of new initiatives have been launched. This includes finding partners and investors for the project.
