In 2025, Port of Aalborg continued the positive development from the previous year and set a revenue record for the second year in a row. Revenue reached 290 million DKK, while the year's profit increased by 13 percent to 62 million DKK, corresponding to 72 million DKK before tax. The port announced this in a press release.
The accounts are driven, among other things, by high activity at the port and high demand for properties and storage spaces. In addition, one-off income from land sales to companies that have wanted to establish themselves in the port's business park has contributed positively.
- The accounts are very satisfactory and exceed our expectations for the year. This is yet another picture of our development being on the right track. We have some very attractive logistics solutions, and we are skilled at meeting the great interest of the business community in establishing activities at the port. This applies regardless of whether it concerns short or long-term rental solutions or the takeover of areas for the establishment of, for example, offices, warehouses or production, says Nuuradiin Hussein, chairman of the board of directors at Port of Aalborg.
The rental business grew during the year in line with demand from, among others, the wind industry. In early summer, the port handed over a new storage area of 390,000 sq m. to Siemens Gamesa for the storage of wind turbine blades, and later in the year a new omniterminal of 30,000 sq m. was put into use.
At the same time, there was continued high activity at the port with 875 ship calls and 2.4 million tons of goods. There was progress in, among other things, goods for the wind energy industry, grain and feed, and dry cargo products, while fossil fuels declined with a decrease of 5 percent. for retail gasoline and diesel.
The container terminal also experienced growth with an increase in the number of containers of almost 10 percent, and thus container turnover has increased by around 50 percent since the port took over operations in 2023.
The Port of Aalborg is also in the process of expanding the quay facility, which is expected to be ready in 2027 and will create more quayside commercial areas targeted at, among other things, the wind industry. The project has received EU support through the Connecting Europe Facility, as it is part of the CO2 infrastructure project Norne Carbon Storage Hub, which has been designated as a Project of Common Interest.
Port of Aalborg expects an ordinary result before tax in the region of DKK 50-55 million in 2026.
