In 2025, Aura delivered a pre-tax profit of DKK 46.5 million, compared to DKK 232.3 million the year before. The result is also below the company's own expectations for the year, which were in the range of DKK 85-95 million. Revenue fell to DKK 1,116 million from DKK 1,168 million, while operating income was also lower than the year before. This was reported by AURA in a press release.
The result is, among other things, affected by an impairment of an IT development project and negative adjustments in the revenue framework for the electricity grid company Dinel, which have burdened the result by approximately DKK 42 million in total. At the same time, financial items have fallen significantly to DKK -7 million from DKK 62.8 million the year before. AURA itself describes the result as satisfactory.
- We have had a solid year with a high level of investment. We are satisfied with the year's results, which testify to a robust business and an organization that is able to navigate a market characterized by both large investments, regulatory changes and increasing complexity, says Carsten Höegh Christiansen, CEO of AURA.
At the same time, 2025 has been a challenging year for the development of new projects within renewable energy. According to AURA, it has become more difficult to realize projects due to uncertain framework conditions, longer approval processes and a more complex investment environment. This is happening at a time when the geopolitical situation and the need for energy independence increase the need for the expansion of renewable energy.
- The green transition requires that we can develop new projects in a stable investment environment. When the framework conditions become more uncertain, it risks slowing down the necessary expansion of renewable energy, says Carsten Höegh Christiansen.
AURA invested 241 million DKK in 2025. AURA expects a pre-tax profit of DKK 50-60 million in 2026, but points to significant uncertainty due to the geopolitical and regulatory situation.
