Offshore activity lifts Thorsminde Port to record year

Increased activity and offshore assignments drive revenue to a record high of DKK 14.8 million.

In 2025, Thorsminde Port will reach its highest revenue ever with 14.8 million DKK compared to 12.7 million DKK the previous year, corresponding to an increase of over 16 percent. The year's result ends at 570,000 DKK after a year of high activity and maintenance work.
This is stated by the Port of Thorsminde in a press release.

The progress is related to several years of investments in the port's facilities and a broader use, where offshore and wind activities in the North Sea in particular have contributed to increased activity.

- We are satisfied with the development in 2025 and not least that we are now seeing the results of the investments and the direction that has been set for the port, says Poul Willadsen, chairman of the Port of Thorsminde.

Fishing continues to constitute a significant part of the activities, and the landing value has increased as a result of higher fish prices. At the same time, the port is increasingly being used for service tasks related to offshore and wind projects.

There has been considerable activity in the port areas during the year, including in connection with the installation of the Thor offshore wind farm and the construction of new buildings. At the same time, the port has completed a multi-year investment program, where the facilities have been upgraded and adapted to future needs.

The expectation for 2026 is stable operation, where the level of activity depends, among other things, on the development of offshore projects, while fishing remains a central part of the port's foundation.
