The board of directors of the Port of Hanstholm has decided to appoint the port's operations manager Søren Zohnesen as acting port director. This is due to Nils Skeby's decision to step down as port director at the Port of Hanstholm, the port informs in a press release.
Søren Zohnesen is 42 years old and has been employed at the Port of Hanstholm since 2014. Here he has worked as a port guard for a number of years, until he took up a position as deputy director and operations manager in 2020. The choice to appoint Søren Zohnesen as port director is due, according to the port's new chairman of the board Miachel Svane, to the need to create calm around the port.
- It is important for me and the rest of the board that there is calm around our port. We have therefore looked inward and assessed that with Søren we will have someone who knows the port, employees, customers and other partners very well. Søren and I want to have a close partnership to ensure that we get a solid foundation for the Port of Hanstholm, says Port Chairman Michael Svane.
The port does not state when it expects to have a permanent director in place.
