Cerius has completed an upgrade of the electricity grid around Haslev after an investment of almost 100 million. DKK. The purpose is to ensure capacity for increasing electrification among both companies and citizens. This is stated by the grid company in a press release.
The upgrade is to support a growing need for electricity, among other things driven by industrial companies that are increasingly electrifying their production, as well as increased electricity consumption in the transport sector.
- The expansion of the area's electricity grid is, among other things, a result of many industrial companies being electrified in recent years, and in addition to this, the general development in society, where there is an increasing demand for electricity for, among other things, transport, says Frederik Dalgård Andersen, head of planning at Cerius.
As part of the project, the operating company Nexel has built a new transformer station at Haslev and buried approximately 15 kilometers of high-voltage cables in the area.
According to Cerius, the project is part of a broader effort to expand the electricity grid in the entire supply area. At the same time, the company is working to monitor electricity consumption and expand the network in residential areas, so that capacity can also keep up with the increasing demand.
