
A few hours before US President Donald Trump's deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz expires, Iran is ready for "all scenarios". This was stated by Iran's First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref, on Tuesday evening after increasingly serious threats from Trump.
- National security and the sustainability of the infrastructure are the subject of our precise calculations, Aref wrote in a post on the social media X.
- The government has completed the necessary measures in detail for all scenarios. No threat is beyond our preparedness and intelligence, it said, according to the AFP news agency.
According to Reuters, a military source told the Iranian news agency Tasnim that oil facilities in the region are targets for the Iranian military if the US attacks Iran's power plant. This includes oil facilities belonging to the Saudi company Aramco and the United Arab Emirates' Fujairah oil pipeline.
Iranian media are warning residents of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the Emirates that several bridges and roads in these countries are being declared closed military zones.
