The second quarter has not been big on the order side for Vestas, but the wind turbine manufacturer did use the last day of the quarter as usual to present a number of orders. Three of these came from Japan, France and Greece respectively.
For the Japanese market, Vestas will deliver 21 MW in the form of five V117-4.2 MW and a 20-year AOM 4000 service agreement. The order comes from Chubu Electric Power Co., Ltd. and the turbines are to be delivered from the first quarter of 2027 and be in operation during the fourth quarter of the same year.
There is also an order for V117- 4.2 MW, which has come from an undisclosed customer for the French market. However, this order is larger than the Japanese one and is for 12 turbines and with a total output of 50 MW. In addition, an agreement has been made for these turbines on a 25-year AOM 5000 service agreement.
The third order is also for a hitherto undisclosed customer, who has ordered seven V136-4.5 MW turbines with a total capacity of 32 MW for the Greek market. Vestas will also service these turbines on an AOM 4000 service agreement with a duration of 20 years. These turbines are to be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year and be in operation during the second quarter of next year.
