The educational institution MARTEC in Frederikshavn has been approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research to offer a new diploma program in advanced system analysis and regulation. The program is intended to strengthen North Jutland's green technology power and contribute to covering the growing shortage of specialized labor in energy, industrial and maritime companies. This is stated by MARTEC in a press release.

The diploma program gives technical professionals the skills to understand, model and control complex systems across mechanics, electronics and hydraulics. Participants learn, among other things, to design regulators, analyze operating data and optimize systems for stable and energy-efficient operation. The course is aimed at machinists, engineers and technicians with at least two years of relevant experience.

The program consists of 60 ECTS credits and is offered as a part-time course with physical attendance. The teaching takes place on two consecutive days every other week, so that participants can apply their new knowledge in practice between the modules. According to MARTEC, companies such as Siemens Energy, Kongsberg Maritime, Scanel and Technicon are expected to send employees to the training.

- Denmark's companies are strong, but the lack of specialized employees is a real obstacle to the green transition. That is why the training has been developed in direct dialogue with the business community, says Terkil Bak-Jensen, associate professor at MARTEC.

A needs survey from CONCITO, among others, shows that 73 percent of companies demand greater technical system understanding, 64 percent lack skills in data collection and analysis, and 91 percent expect increasing needs towards 2030.
