NKT has been named Danish Listed Company of the Year 2026 in the Mid/Large cap category by the Association of Listed Companies. The award was presented at the Stock Exchange Conference, where a total of 20 companies were nominated.

The company, which produces and installs cable solutions for electricity infrastructure, is highlighted by the jury for its turnaround and position in the electrification of Europe. In 2025, NKT delivered organic growth of 6 percent and an EBITDA of EUR 390 million. At the same time, the company has entered into several large agreements, including a contract with a total value of over EUR 2.2 billion.

- We are proud of the recognition as listed company of the year. The award reflects a focused and long-term effort to create value for our shareholders through solid order intake, stable execution and the implementation of major investments across the business, where support from our investors has been a decisive factor. However, the recognition belongs first and foremost to our employees, who are crucial to the strong position that NKT has today, says Michael Yong, CFO of NKT, in a press release.

According to the jury, NKT is in a position where the company can largely translate the demand from the green transition into business. The expansion of production capacity in Karlskrona is also expected to make the facility the world's largest in offshore high-voltage cables.

"NKT is an excellent example of how a transformation through acquisitions, focus on core business and timely diligence can create an industrial champion with global significance," it says, among other things. from the jury in the justification for the award to NKT.

The award is given in two categories, and while NKT took home the honor among the largest listed companies, the award in the Small cap category went to the car sharing company GreenMobility, which was thus recognized as the year's best among the smaller companies.

The other finalists in the Mid/Large cap category were the construction and civil engineering company Per Aarsleff and the biosultations company Novonesis, while the other finalists in the Small cap category were the shared trailer company Freetrailer and last year's winner, the online game developer Trophy Games.

- With the award of the Danish Listed Company of the Year, we want to focus on the many strong companies that are listed on the Danish stock market. They play an important role in growth, jobs, innovation and the continued development of Danish business, says Thomas Black-Petersen, CEO, Association of Listed Companies.
