Nord Energi's profits flatten significantly - yet there is satisfaction

The decrease in profits is due to the sale of Norlys shares in 2024, which generated extraordinary income. Nord Energi expects billions in investments in the coming years.

In 2025, the Nord Energi Group realized a profit after tax of 67 million DKK, a significant decrease from the profit of 245 million DKK the previous year. The decrease is related to the fact that the Group received extraordinary income in 2024 from the sale of its 13.5 percent share in Norlys Energi to Norlys. Therefore, there is also satisfaction with the result despite the decline, Nord Energi states in a press release.

The turnover was 331 million DKK, while the subsidiaries contributed a profit of 22 million DKK after tax and internal profits. This is stated by Nord Energi in a press release. The return on securities amounted to 64 million DKK and is at the expected level.

In 2025, Nord Energi Net chose to charge around 85 percent of the permitted revenue limit. This has saved consumers around 35 million DKK. DKK in 2025 and a total of DKK 186 million in the period 2021-2025.

In the coming years, the company will significantly increase investments in the electricity grid. Investments of up to three billion DKK are planned as part of expanding and future-proofing the infrastructure in line with increasing electrification. Therefore, the company will probably take advantage of the fact that it can collect a larger part of the revenue framework from 2026.

Chairman continues

At the same time, the group has a new board of directors following elections to the board of representatives. Jens Møller Lee continues as chairman, while Bjarne Lyngø is the new vice chairman. Several members have been re-elected, and new profiles have joined, just as Hans Henrik Toft Sørensen and Regnar Bæk have been elected as independent members to the grid company's board of directors.

- We have a board of directors in place with strong and diverse competencies. With both re-elected forces and new profiles, we get a good balance between continuity and new perspectives. This gives us a good starting point to ensure continued stable operations, develop and future-proof the infrastructure in our area, and maintain the cooperative spirit that is the foundation of Nord Energi, says Jens Møller Lee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nord Energi.
