In 2025, the Port of Odense increased its revenue to 311 million DKK and delivered an operating profit of 105 million DKK and a total profit of just over 100 million DKK. This is the best result in the port's history and is happening in a period characterized by uncertainty about the pace of the green transition and developments in the offshore wind market. This is stated by the Port of Odense in a press release.
According to the port, the result is driven by high activity among the companies and close collaboration with customers to develop solutions. The accounts also show that growth is mainly driven by rental and port operations, while the logistics business has declined. This development is also increasing pressure on capacity.
- Our result in 2025 is solid, and this is primarily due to the companies at the port, which are driving the development. At the same time, I am proud of our employees, who create solutions and value together with customers every day,” says Carsten Aa, CEO of the Port of Odense.
At the end of the year, 94 percent of the buildings and 72 percent of the areas were leased, and in 2025 the port completed six new production and logistics halls and prepared 150,000 square meters for new tenants.
The port invested almost DKK 155 million in facilities in 2025, which means a negative cash flow and a decrease in cash and cash equivalents. In addition, the Port of Odense has equity of DKK 1.6 billion and a solvency ratio of 74 percent, which will form the basis for future investments.
Plans are currently being worked on to expand the port by around 1 million square meters and establish a new sailing to be able to handle larger ships and components for offshore wind.
- The Port of Odense is an important driving force behind the offshore wind industry, maritime, new technologies and employment on Funen, where companies generate a large amount of job creation. The further development of the port is absolutely central, as the port must help to meet Odense's goal of 30,000 new private jobs by 2035. The port's impressive growth and continuous progress provide a good starting point for investing in the port's continued development - a development that must take place in good balance with nature, the environment and local communities, says Peter Rahbæk Juel, mayor of Odense Municipality and deputy chairman of the Port of Odense.
For 2026, the Port of Odense expects a turnover of 345–360 million DKK and a profit before tax of 110–130 million DKK, while the port is facing significant investments in infrastructure.
