Monday is the last day of the second quarter, and towards the end of a quarter Vestas often has the habit of announcing orders. That is also the case today.

Thus, the Danish wind turbine manufacturer has issued information that the German developer Boreas Energie GmbH has placed four orders with Vestas.

"Vestas is proud to announce that Boreas Energie GmbH, a long-standing customer, and Vestas have entered into four orders in Germany in the second quarter of 2025 with a total capacity of 175 MW," reads the announcement from Vestas.

All the turbines will be installed in Germany. For the Großvargula, Greußen and Bothenheilingen projects, Boreas Energie has ordered eight, seven and seven units respectively. V162-6.2 MW in 6.0 MW operating mode and entered into 20-year service agreements for the turbines of the AOM 4000 type. All of these turbines are scheduled to be installed from the third quarter of 2026 and be completed before the end of the year.

For the Bothenheilingen 2 project, Vestas will deliver three V162-6.2 MW and four V162-6.2 MW in 6.0 MW operating mode. Here too, a 20-year 4000 service agreement has been agreed. However, these turbines will not be delivered until the fourth quarter of 2027 and are scheduled to be operational in the first quarter of 2027.
