This summer, Denmark will get a new music festival, Suset Festival. The new festival will take place on 16-17 August 2024. The new festival will also have a small impact on the offshore industry, as the festival site will be at the Port of Esbjerg.
The area, which will be used for two days for parties and music, is being lent by the offshore group NorSea. The lent area means that Denmark's largest base operation will have to move its activities to another location in the port for a period of six weeks. Norsea is happy to do this, says CEO of Norsea Jesper Høj-Hansen.
- We want to support the culture in Esbjerg and also the ambition to lift culture to a new level. If it means we have to change the logistics for a period of time, we are happy to do so, he says in a press release.
The mayor of Esbjerg Municipality, Jesper Frost Rasmussen (V), is delighted to be able to share the news about Suset Festival.
- We have allied ourselves with the very best in the music industry to create a musical lighthouse right on the quayside, where we can really feel the rush from the North Sea. The festival adds a new dimension to the perception of what Esbjerg is, while also strongly marking the city on the cultural map. Suset is a major and decisive step in our efforts to make Esbjerg an even more attractive place to live and work, he says.
