Sweco has won a new framework agreement with Vattenfall, Sweden's largest electricity company and one of Europe's major energy groups. The agreement has an estimated total value of around 600 million Swedish kronor and runs for three years.
The framework agreement covers technical advisory services within a number of energy areas, including wind power, hydropower, thermal power and nuclear power. Sweco will also advise on electricity and heat distribution, new electricity and heat production and the final disposal of spent nuclear fuel.
The agreement will enter into force in January 2026 and continues the long-standing collaboration between Sweco and Vattenfall on the development, operation and innovation of Vattenfall's energy plants. The collaboration will, among other things, support Vattenfall's goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
- Sweco has a long-standing collaboration with Vattenfall, and we are proud to once again be chosen as a trusted advisor in the continued green transition of Sweden's energy sector. We look forward to developing new solutions to the challenges that both Vattenfall and Swedish society face as we move forward together on the path towards a sustainable energy supply, says Ann-Louise Lökholm Klasson, Business Area Director, Sweco in Sweden.
The framework agreement is initially valid for three years with the possibility of extension for up to two additional years.
