KK Wind Solutions has opened a new factory and office in Bengaluru, India. The investment is a significant expansion of the company's presence in Asia and will support both the global supply chain and India's renewable energy goals, the company said in a press release.
The factory in Bengaluru is part of the company's long-term strategy to support the green transition in India, where the goal is to reach 99 GW of wind energy by 2030. KK Wind Solutions has been present in Bengaluru since 2017, but the new 17,000 m² factory more than doubles its capacity and will play a central role in the company's global production. The new factory consists of 14,000 m2 of production and logistics space and 3,000 m2 of office space
- India is an increasingly important hub in the global wind energy value chain, and Bengaluru was the obvious choice for our expansion in India. The city has renowned universities and technical institutes as well as a large talent pool of engineers, says Mauricio Quintana, CEO of KK Wind Solutions.
The new factory will be KK Wind Solutions' largest production facility in Asia and is expected to create up to 400 jobs. The facility will produce power converters and control systems for the wind industry and is equipped with sustainable solutions such as solar panels and charging stations for electric vehicles. At the same time, the company is opening a new office in Bengaluru, where 150 employees will work on global shared services functions.
The facility is fully licensed by the Indian authorities, meets international standards and is part of the MOOWR scheme, which allows exports. Production began in April 2025.
