Four well-known engineering houses within the wind industry – Biir, Blaaholm, Sonne and Eltronic Wind Solutions – are coming together under the name Enabl in a new engineering house under Eltronic Group.

Eltronic Group specializes in acquiring and developing small and medium-sized industrial companies. This has also been the case with the companies that are now being merged into Enabl.

Thus, the engineering company Sonne A/S was acquired in 2019, while Blaaholm Hard Automation, which supplies technical solutions to both the onshore and offshore wind industry, and the consultancy Biir A/S, which specializes in advisory services to the wind industry, were acquired by Eltronic Group in 2020.

With the merger of the engineering and consultancy companies in Enabl, Eltronic Group consolidates its latest investments in the continued growth journey towards positioning itself as a global player in the wind industry.

After the merger, the company will employ 450 employees who will focus on providing knowledge and consultancy services to the global wind industry.

- With the merger, we maintain our focus on customers in the wind industry and continue to develop our services to meet market requirements. We look forward to continuing to contribute to the global green transition together with our customers and with a focus on efficient and proven processes. We are ready to support a developing market, and we expect annual growth of approximately 30 percent over the coming years, says Thomas Hedegaard, former CEO of Eltronic Wind Solutions and appointed CEO of Enabl.

The consolidation trend is not new in the wind industry, which in recent years has seen a high degree of acquisitions and mergers among companies in the supply chain, joining forces to deliver larger, integrated solutions to customers.
