The Danish wind turbine manufacturer Blaaholm from Esbjerg has filed for bankruptcy, Blaaholm announced in a press release.
After the corona crisis, Blaaholm has struggled with a 'significant operating deficit' in recent months. Therefore, there is no longer any liquidity to continue operating the company.
However, CEO Torben Blåholm hopes that it will be possible to save parts of the company through a sale.
'I definitely see a future for parts of Blaaholm and my hope is that as many jobs as possible can be preserved. We are therefore working intensively on a sale of the company or parts of it, and we are already experiencing a good deal of interest,' writes Torben Blåholm.
Blaaholm was founded in 2005 and currently has 75 employees. Blaaholm also has offices in Varde and Colorado, in addition to production and service in Denmark, the USA, Vietnam, Latvia, Poland and Taiwan.
Since 2005, the company has been involved in more than 8,000 projects, the company states on its website.
