Wind turbine manufacturer Vestas will cut the number of office employees globally by 900 by the end of the year compared to August. Of these, the number of primarily office employees in Denmark will be cut by 190. Vestas informs MarketWire.
- Vestas continues to experience solid financial progress, and we are continuously reviewing our organization to ensure that we work in the most optimal way. This involves simplifying processes, improving efficiency and adapting parts of the business, says PR manager Claes Lautrup Cunliffe to the media.
The total reduction corresponds to around two percent of Vestas' global workforce.
The wind turbine manufacturer also informs MarketWire that since the same time last year, it has increased its global workforce by over 3,500 employees. In Denmark, the number of employees has grown by over 600, it says.
