These are difficult times in the American wind market, where President Trump is far from a fan of wind turbines.
Nevertheless, Vestas has managed to land a large onshore order from the American market of 527 MW. The wind turbine manufacturer states this in a statement.
Vestas does not disclose who the customer is and where the project will be built. However, it is stated that the 527 MW will be delivered in the form of V150-4.5 MW. In addition, Vestas and the undisclosed customer have agreed on a service agreement for the turbines.
The order is scheduled to be delivered in the second quarter of 2026 and is expected to be in operation before the end of the year.
