Ten days ago, Vestas was subjected to a cyber attack and a large part of the company's systems were shut down as a precaution. Since then, the company has been working with the help of external experts to get the systems up and running again, and that process is going well, Vestas says in a press release.
- We have been through some tough days since we discovered the cyber attack. Management is therefore pleased that the attack has not affected our wind turbine activities, and that almost all of our systems are now up and running again, says Henrik Andersen, CEO of Vestas.
Although Vestas' systems will soon be back to normal, the company says that there is still a major investigation to be carried out. The company also says that there is no indication that customer information has been compromised in connection with the attack.
