Ørsted expects delays in the US

30. OKT 2020 9.57
Administration

Earlier this week, Ørsted presented a very positive quarterly report, where the sale of Radius gave Ørsted a profit of DKK 12 billion after tax.

On the negative side, Ørsted had to announce that it expected delays in the US for a number of offshore projects. Ørsted is still waiting for a number of permits that have been delayed due to administrative challenges due to the corona crisis.

Ørsted therefore expects that Revolution Wind, Ocean Wind, Skipjack and Sunrise Wind will all be delayed until after 2023 and 2024, when it had otherwise been expected that the offshore wind farms would be ready for operation. Until the delayed approvals have arrived, Ørsted cannot set a new date for the projects.
