Obton survives: Investors vote yes to merger

Despite a billion-dollar deficit, Obton is surviving after investors in three of the company's funds - Stabil, Impact and Fond 1 - have approved a merger with the energy company ReCo. This is reported by Finans. This means that Obton A/S avoids bankruptcy and thus survives the major financial problems that have threatened the company's future. Specifically, this means that the three investment funds are joining forces with Obton A/S to own the energy company ReCo.

- It is incredibly positive to experience the broad support from investors in all three funds. When we join forces in one company, we get new and better opportunities in a market that today requires something different than what we saw when the funds were originally founded, says Sandra Grauers Nilsson, who will take on the role of CEO of ReCo, in a press release.

In the new company, the investors in the three funds together own 85 percent, while the owners of Obton A/S will own the remaining 15 percent.
