NKT has appointed Michael Yong as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of NKT and NKT A/S with effect from 1 April 2026. He is currently Chief Strategy Officer of the company and member of the Group Management, a role he has held since joining in 2021. NKT states this in a company announcement.
Michael Yong has been responsible for the strategy function at NKT since 2021 and has held a number of senior positions within the cable and energy infrastructure industry prior to his appointment. His experience includes CFO responsibilities, strategy development, M&A and business transformation from positions at SGB-SMIT Group and Prysmian Group.

Michael has been a key member of our Group Management for several years and brings deep insight into NKT, combined with extensive experience from the cable industry. Following the appointment, the management of NKT A/S will consist of CEO Claes Westerlind and CFO Michael Yong.

Michael Yong succeeds Line Andrea Fandrup, who was announced this summer as the new CFO of Bestseller with effect from the end of April 2026 at the latest.
