Venstre is planning to spend one billion kroner on tax breaks for small and medium-sized businesses. This will give businesses better growth opportunities, emphasizes the party, which is presenting a business proposal on Tuesday at a company in Herlev, west of Copenhagen.

- If I am entrusted with being prime minister of Denmark, I will strengthen Danish competitiveness, I will make Denmark richer through more growth, through more jobs and by supporting more good ideas. In other words, ensure that our entrepreneurs get better framework conditions than they have today, says Venstre chairman Troels Lund Poulsen.

As part of the proposal, Venstre will also lower corporate tax, as the party has also previously said, from 22 to 20 percent. Investment in a share savings account is to be made more attractive by raising the ceiling for deposits from 174,200 kroner to half a million kroner.

Will issue a "burden-stop guarantee"

Troels Lund Poulsen and Deputy Chairman Stephanie Lose will issue a "burden-stop guarantee". Burdens and administration are to be reduced by 25 percent, the proposal states, which Venstre refers to as a work program.

- We are in a challenged situation. We are under pressure. Competitiveness is under pressure, and there is enough to be addressed when you look at what we are up against with the USA and China, so there is a need to do much more in Europe and here in Denmark, says Troels Lund Poulsen.

However, Venstre will not address the financing today. That will come later, when "we meet again".

- We will do that on Monday, March 16. I want the opportunity to present a comprehensive economic plan, says Troels Lund Poulsen.

Both the Social Democrats and the Liberals have come under fire for not ruling out joining government together again, even though the proposals they are presenting are aimed at red and blue voters respectively. The leader of the Liberals will not rule out joining government with the Social Democrats again on Tuesday, even though he emphasizes that this is not what he is working for.

- I want everything opposite to Mette Frederiksen. As I have always said, I want a blue government. I think that Denmark would also like that, says Troels Lund Poulsen.

The latest polls from Voxmeter show that neither the red nor the blue bloc can gather a majority at the moment. This could place the Moderates in a crucial role.
