Sweco Denmark maintained its earnings level in the first quarter of 2026, although revenue fell slightly. The EBITA margin was 15.9 percent, corresponding to 92 million DKK compared to 16.0 percent the previous year, while revenue landed at 578 million DKK compared to 588 million DKK the previous year. This was announced by Sweco in a press release.

- We are once again delivering a strong earnings margin, which remains very high for the industry. This is an expression of a robust business and disciplined project execution across the entire business in a market that has become more complex and demanding, says Dariush Rezai, CEO of Sweco Denmark.

According to the company, the market has developed differently across segments. Private residential and commercial construction has been stable, while energy and pharma have been characterized by greater uncertainty and longer decision-making processes, which has affected activity. At the same time, Sweco highlights a continued solid level of activity within infrastructure, water, climate and environment as well as defense and security.

- It has been a quarter characterized by greater volatility due to global uncertainty. We see projects being pushed back and a general hesitation to initiate new projects, which has affected revenue in certain parts of our business. Conversely, we see good stability and progress in other markets, where we have actively strengthened our position, says Dariush Rezai.

From May 1, the company will also implement changes in management. CFO Jeppe Allert Madsen will move to a role as Group Director of the integrated architecture and construction business in the West, while Steen Steensen will take up the role of new CFO in Denmark.
