Vestas presented financial statements on Thursday that showed progress on several fronts. Among other things, the wind turbine manufacturer had generated a record-high turnover of 8.8 billion euros or just over 140 billion kroner in 2025. This corresponds to an increase of almost nine percent, and on the bottom line, a profit of 780 million euros could be noted.

However, the tailwind in the financial statements did not materialize on the stock market, where Vestas was sent down by 8.7 percent. As a result, Vestas' CEO, Henrik Andersen, got less out of his share sale on Thursday than he might have expected. The CEO chose to sell 142,819 of his shares in Vestas at a price of 176.62. This meant that despite the price drop, he was able to collect 2,522,469,178 kroner.

Henrik Andersen was hired as CEO of Vestas in August 2019, where he replaced Anders Runevad. Before that, Andersen had been a member of Vestas' board of directors since 2013.

Vestas' shares fell 1.56 percent on Friday shortly after the market opened, giving a price of DKK 173.65.
