There is a change in the directorship at Valmont SM, a subsidiary of the American Valmont Industries and a major supplier of steel structures and towers for wind turbines. Niels Brix is taking over from Jens Holk Nielsen. Brix comes from a position as executive VP at the wind industry consultancy K2 Management, writes Jv.dk.
No reason has been announced for the change in directorship, but the company has delivered large losses in recent years. A development that must now be reversed, among other things by an increased focus on series deliveries to the wind industry.
- We have all the prerequisites to strengthen our position. We are able to produce in Denmark and thus maintain Danish jobs because we can deliver high quality, says the new director Niels Brix.
Former director Jens Holk Nielsen has not wished to comment on his resignation.
