Siemens Gamesa CEO Markus Tacke is stepping down with immediate effect following mutual agreement with the board of directors, Siemens Gamesa announced in a press release.
Offshore chief Andreas Nauen will also become the new CEO with immediate effect. A replacement for Andreas Nauen as Offshore CEO has not yet been found, but Siemens Gamesa has begun looking for a new offshore chief.
In the press release, Chairman of the Board Miguel Angel López briefly thanks Markus Tacke for his efforts over the past three years and in particular for the merger between Siemens Wind Power and Gamesa.
In the same release, Siemens Gamesa reports that it expects a negative operating result in the third quarter due to the challenges during the corona crisis. The expected profit in the fourth quarter is not expected to offset the negative operating result in the third quarter.
