German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has received an order from KELAG Kärntner Elektrizitäts Aktiengesellschaft for seven wind turbines with a total capacity of 47.6 MW for the Lavamünd project in southern Austria. The order also includes a 20-year service agreement for the maintenance of the turbines.
The wind turbines will be installed at two different tower heights: four at 118 meters and three at 164 meters. The project site is located on a forested ridge in the border area between Carinthia, Styria and Slovenia.
Construction of the wind turbines is planned to start at the end of 2025, and commissioning is expected in 2027.
