German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has made great progress in the second quarter of 2025, with the company receiving orders for wind turbines with a total capacity of 2,310 megawatts – an increase of 82 percent compared to the same period last year. This is according to MarketWire.
- We built on a strong start to the year and continued to deliver solid results in the second quarter, leading to a total of 4.5 gigawatts in new orders during the first half of the year – all at stable prices. This consistent momentum reflects the strength of our business model and the strategic direction we have taken. Looking ahead, we remain focused on our core markets and are very confident in our ability to maintain this positive development, says José Luis Blanco, CEO of Nordex.
From April to June, customers ordered a total of 350 wind turbines spread across projects in nine countries. The largest markets were Germany, Turkey and Latvia. The average selling price was 0.97 million euros per megawatt – largely unchanged from 0.96 million euros in the same quarter the previous year.
