KERTEMINDE / ODENSE: Municipal director of Kerteminde Inger Marie Vynne acknowledges that the city council should have been informed of the environmental impact report on the expansion of the Port of Odense, which had been in the administration for months without political knowledge. The report from Sweco was received in June 2025, but was not included in the political consideration or in the citizens' meeting on the port expansion. This is what Fyens writes. Stiftstidende.
"Based on an overall assessment, and in retrospect, it is the management's assessment that we administratively, in the specific situation, should have informed the city council about the report and how it is included - or not included - in the overall authority process," writes Inger Marie Vynne in an email to the media.
The municipality denies that the report has disappeared, and explains the designation "misfiled" with double journaling. But several politicians criticize the process. 1st Deputy Mayor Malte Jäger (LA) calls it "extremely problematic", and SF's Alex Haurand says that the lack of information "undermines trust in both the administration, the politicians and the entire democratic process".
